Hi Cora, you don't know me but I've had some work done by Kauri and I consider her a great friend.
I wish I could figure out how to tell someone to Rest in Peace, when she was the most peaceful person I knew.
her ex-husband Keenu Tiyme killed her. he took her SUV and tried to go to mexico and got caught in a highspeed chase and got arrested. she tattooed me for a year here in CO and i miss her dearly. she became my close friend here. she is only 1/2 done with my hug rib piece. now i dont know how i can get it finished. it took me 5 1/2 yrs to find an artist as good as her!!!
i love you Kauri
Your breathtaking pictures of Kauri bring me much comfort. She was a friend of mine and my tattoo artist. I met her in March 2007 and my life changed forever. She was so talented, so kind, so beautiful, and just wonderful. Each session in her studio was spent talking about everything and sharing details of our lives. I will always remember how gentle her tattoo needle was and how her soft voice and delicate hands comforted me as she worked on my skin.
Kauri made me so happy! She took an ugly, ill-concieved tattoo that I hated on my body for 20 years and made it something beautiful. She talked to me throughout the two 5 hour sittings and enlightended my life. She didn't just talk to me, she also listened. I am proud and lucky to have been tattooed by her. I was in the process of tracking her down in Denver to have my georgous tattoo made larger when I read the article in the Summit Daily. I am devastated. Her presence on this earth will be sorely missed.
